MY STORY

Hi my name's Hamish and I'm a 21-year-old journalist for Southern Cross Austereo/10 News First.

My responsibilities include writing local news updates for Orange and Canberra.

I have a Bachelor of Media from the University of Tasmania, after graduating in 2021.
My background is primarily in sports media, where I've worked for various sports bodies and media organisations.

  • Recording and editing audio

  • Undertaking a radio training course at Edge Radio, learning the norms and rules of broadcasting and how to use a Playout system and operate a panel

  • Using Microsoft programs and Adobe Creative Cloud programs
